highlight {of my week}

on sunday morning, a grade-school child posted this note in church after reflecting on how he could be a light to his community. after music, games, and storytelling, he had quiet space to pray. 

i love the words he chose, "he is telling me..." as if God's voice is active and real and near.  

for me, this is everything. there is nothing greater, nothing more rewarding than a child who is able to hear God's voice, and has space and a quiet heart in which to listen.  

may we all hear God's voice, and have the same child-like courage to obey when He speaks.  

this is why we do what we do. the hard work is worth this. always.
