this week, melissa and i were brainstorming creative solutions for removable classroom decor. our church, like many, has multi-functional space, so none of the decor can be left up too long. we were inspired by apartment ideas for renters -- you know, folks who want a great looking space but can't do anything too permanent. AKA: most children's ministry classrooms. we're like the renters of the church world. but, without having to pay utilities. or, do we? #checkyourpaycheck

today -- a few ideas that inspired us.

temporary decor

streamers: hung with masking tape for a fun pop of color, or for a photobooth backdrop

removable wallpaper: peel & stick paper for a large group set, or to create a quiet calming nursery

scrapbook paper: perfect for creating giant shapes or symbols that correspond with the bible story

washi tape: similar to painter's tape, use for creating easy stripes and patterns

oh! and you must see what melissa created with just paint chips and painter's tape. genuis, right?
