thank you + thank you {new site}!
Friday, September 7, 2012 at 11:30AM it takes a village to redesign a website, and that could not have been more true for me & this new lemon lime kids website.
today, a few very well-deserved thank yous:
i was a huge wordpress fan. and, really still am. but, kelly convinced me that squarespace was the new way to go. so far, so good. he's a smart guy.
jenny & sandy, on more than one occassion, listened to me rant & rave about the website i wished i had. they encouraged me, gave loads of feedback, and celebrated this week when the new site went live. they're good people.
in an all-defining, super important meeting, i asked matt his opinion on changing the lemon lime kids name. i was pretty set on doing this. matt said no. and convinced me to keep it. he was right. and, so many times since, i've gone back to that conversation using it to shape the way i think about this site.
kelly took my vision for a new logo and created the beauty you see at the top of the page. mark did his tweaking magic and made the logo perfect. grateful, grateful, grateful.
my super talented sister-in-law tory shot and edited the new photo to the left. she's very good at making people look good. because i definitely don't look that good in person.
there will be a very special place in heaven for jeremy. for the last several years, he's helped me trouble shoot my site every time it encountered a nasy virus. and, he gave super helpful tips for cleaning up the content before moving it all to the new site. he's generous, kind, and always helpful.
my loyal advertisers: the D6 conference and Discipleland happily redesigned their ads for the new site, and angela at beacon ads made the transition super easy.
and, thank you, readers and tweeters for the super sweet notes you've sent sharing your excitement for the new site. i'm always grateful for you.
ok! now it's time to pay it forward. if you've recently re-designed your site, leave a comment with a link to the new site. it's time to show off your baby. don't be shy. cheers to new websites!
