office re-design {inspiration}

office space is everything, right? for me, when my office is clean and well-designed, i'm inspired, creative and motivated to work.

although clean, my current office is a bit drab. so, i'm re-thinking how to arrange the room and inject a very-much-needed dose of color & creativity.

i've pinned a few inspiration office pics, and currently i'm focusing in on the one below. i think i'm drawn to it because it's really not at all that different from my office. i have a chair, 2 desks, and white walls. so there you go. no, seriously. i like that by adding a few simple things, i could have a fresh office quickly.

step one: move two desks side by side. i love the simplicity and functionality of this. and, who wouldn't want to work elbow to elbow, right?

step two: add file cabinet. i'm embarrassed to show you what i use to file my documents. it's ugly. i'm finally planning to add a slim file cabinet right under my desk.

step three: shake up the white walls. i absolutely love the letters as wall decor in the inspiration picture. maybe i'll add a few L's L's & K's around the room?! and, i'll plan to use removable wall-letters so i can move and re-design at a moment's notice.

step four: add wall storage. my office is super small, so bookshelves hung horizontally may just be the best idea yet. and, of course i'll need to fill the shelves with some great new accessories. including this guy.

step five: organize magazines and books neatly on desk. my current stack is a mad nightmare, mostly because i never know what to do with them. hide in closet or display on desk? i love the clean display of the books & magazines in the picture. not too cluttery, but easily accessible.

step six: enjoy office. be inspired. create. lead. work.

what do you say? what's the current state of your office? dreaming of any re-designs?

Currently experimenting with a bar height desk to stand some of the time (apparently its healthier!)...jury is still out!
