christmas {inspiration}

creative christmas

it's {almost} the most wonderful time of the year, and we're all on the brink of being fully immersed in the christmas season. heck, some people are already even listening to christmas music. with recruiting seasonal volunteers, and choosing special curriculum, adding festive decor, and empowering families to celebrate together it can be easy to fall into the same old habits every year.

but, not this year! before the holidays get cranking, spend some time thinking about how to offer a fresh perspective on christmas this year. and for your inspiration, 5 ideas to spark your creativity:

Nativity Set: a fresh take on the nativity play set -- these are finger puppets inside a pop-up book.

Christmas Tree Chalkboard Wall Decal: a creative idea for the traditional christmas tree -- a chalkboard wall decal that children can decorate all season long. just erase and create again!

Printstagram: a unique way to celebrate holiday volunteers -- take instagram photos while they're serving and follow up with a printsagram thank you note, sticker, or tinybook. love it!

Help Wanted Sign: an eye-catching way to recruit holiday volunteers -- have you seen the help wanted signs popping up in retail stores looking for holiday help? why not add a similar sign at the front of your children's ministry hallway letting people know you too need extra help this season.

Why Do We Call It Christmas? a creative christmas curriculum -- teaching the biblical story of jesus' birth is important, but in addition these lessons give children the culutral context for our celebrations. and, i think that's super important. but, i'm biased. what can i say?

now you. what's inspiring you this season?
